One size fits all? RegisterLocal good idea but are they the one to do it?

Sitting in a pub somewhere in Soho, London me and some colleagues came up with an idea. You know that after having just too much beer and long hours of work sometimes you guess how wonderful life could be after you start your own dot-com business and earn millions.

And as it is very hard to get good base content for local search in Europe we said:” If today you had a business to offer comprehensive and normalized content for local-search that covers the whole of Europe you would earn a fortune!”(In our terms that’s just UKIE, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) You say:”Just buy them!”
Well that’s not that easy; to buy the listings is only the first step. The hard work starts when it gets to clean the data. Getting rid of duplicates, wrong entries and keeping the entries up-to-date is a heck of work.” … I could go on like forever on this … and I will soon. But for now let me point to a approach that seems to be a possible solution, sure they’ve still got a long way to go but the idea is nice. I’ll keep an eye ….
