Usually I don’t just quote someones article, and on top it seems senseless to point to an article on GoogleBlogscoped as it looks like almost anyone reads philipp lenssens blog about search and media. Almost daily I get mails pointing me to articles on his blog, saying ” you got to read this” and most of the time I agree.

Even so he posts a couple of articles a day he manages to keep the quality at a reasonable level.
But some of the reads are just outstanding - they do outshine the rest of the blogsphere – like this one.

Maybe I like it so much because design is a topic of heart for me – even so I’m working in the search-team of yahoo! – as this is where my roots are.

The article does not only hit the spot – it also is a pleasure to read from a journalists angle.

But enough adulating for now -

I have mixed feelings on the subject. I have never liked the way Google looks and can’t understand why anyone would want that for a homepage. I’ve used Yahoo as a homepage in the past, but now think that it’s way too busy and crowded. I don’t know. If I could quickly get to Gmail and other Google services with just one click instead of two or three, I might change my mind about it. Anyway, great article!
