PIXAR – the Golden Gate Bridge and Oakland

As our flight back from San Francisco to Munich was scheduled for 21:00. We had some time to visit some sites around San Francisco. We had to check out of the hotel by 12:00 so plenty of time here :)

Steve Wozniak – “fireside chat” with Guy Kawasaki

Sometimes life & luck just can’t get better! After being at the 2006 Webmasterworld in Las Vegas, I visited the Yahoo! Offices in Mission College and guess what was up in just the Marriott Hotel i was staying in … a “fireside chat” of Steve Wozniak and Guy Kawasaki.

Google the Whish-Machine & The Natives of the Internet

During the “Safe Bets from Google” event at the Webmasterworld in Las Vegas, which by the way was a little too crowded for my taste, Chris Rand, Pascal Fantou and myself had a little chat which was quite some fun.
Chris Rand told us a little story about his, if I remember right 5 year old son, and his way to use the internet. Chris told us that for his son Google seems to be the source of more or less everything you need in life.

YAHOO! Maps out of Beta – covering Europe too

Yahoo’s new maps product is now out of Beta and provides you not only with a Flash variant of the maps but also with some exciting new features.
The Yahoo Maps multi point routing, enables you to set more that just a start and a destination point along your route.

Webmasterworld 2006 in Las Vegas – Roundup part one

Great people, great panels and a great city. It’s been worth it for me. First day keynote by Guy Kawasaki was brilliant, although it was based on the “the art of the start” presentation I’ve blogged about before, he adjusted and updated it since the one you can watch here.
