With the last release of Yahoo! Local Search in the UK and Germany along with other improvements we added another handy feature to the business detail pages.

Beneath the “Send to a Friend” and “Add to Address Book” which interacts with your Yahoo! address book, we introduced a “Download vCard” element. This allows you to store the contact details of any business you find on Yahoo! Local into the address book of your choice.

vCard is a file format standard for personal data interchange, specifically electronic business cards. vCards are often attached to e-mail messages, but can be exchanged in other ways, such as on the World Wide Web. They can contain name and address information, phone numbers, URLs, logos, photographs, and even audio clips.

The vCard or Versitcard was originally proposed in 1995 by the Versit consortium, which consisted of Apple Computer, AT&T (later Lucent), IBM and Siemens. In December 1996 ownership of the format was handed over to the Internet Mail Consortium, a trade association for companies with an interest in Internet e-mail.(Wikipedia)

So with much less copy and paste you can now transfer the location and contact information of interest to your PC, MAC your mobile phone or PDA.
