Danny Sullivan gave me a kiss - a big one - during yesterday’s round of Daily SearchCast - for posting The Big Giant Guide To Local Listings - well a remote kiss obviously - but beware Danny - you may think you are safe as I’m in Munich, Germany now but I will be moving to London UK next month ….

Thanks to Mike for adding to the list, Bill for “singing the praises” on Yahoo! Local and placing the link to my list right at the bottom of the post ;) Oh and Thanks to Matt for helping us all to stay fair-minded. Mr McGee for his quick hit and head tipping - Barry who posted it to the Promised Land.

My post started off with just a link to your page, and grew from there. Yahoo Local didn’t fare to well in the Yahoo vs. Google competition that I had, but I’m going to try again sometime. I’m going to spend some more time with Yahoo Local doing searches before I try again, though. I suspect they will do better.

So, thank you for the idea. That is a great list that you put together.

Please don’t get me wrong here. Without your post my list would have never ever gotten the amount attention it did - so really BIG THANK YOU! - honestly.

And obviously without proper feedback from high profile people like you, the whole search industry and it’s products would not be where they are today. This is highly appreciated.

I do worry about providing feedback sometimes because it could be seen as harsh criticism when the truth is that the better local search is, the better for search engines, marketers, business and site owners, and searchers.

I am happy to see your list getting the attention that it deserves.
