Qype – Using Yahoo! Maps now

A few days ago German social local service Qype has launched its mobile services.

Qype Mobile offering

So their users may now enjoy the reviews on their internet ready mobile devices as well. The service seems to be limited to the German part of their web offering – whilst the website is available in other European countrie(s) such as the UK since some time.

This service does provide you with mobile maps as well – and contrary to their website offering where they use Google maps – here they use Yahoo! maps.
Have to say good choice guys ;)

  • Google Maps in bed with qype – is that a good idea?
  • Qype.com coupons – reaching out for the SME
  • YAHOO! Maps out of Beta – covering Europe too
  • Qype started new monetization / user engagement system with coupons

Funnily enough Google forces you to change as it does not provide a really simple solution for a static image, whereby yahoo! does.
