In times when you find yourself wondering what the next negative opinion for someone somewhere on what Yahoo! does will bring, its so refreshing if someone finds something we do positive and worth writing about.

Please go and enjoy her insightful view on what people want, what the core of Answers is and why you should go and enjoy it yourself.

PS: One small mistake that needs correction. Users actually can’t answer before signing up.

      There are some of us still alive who LOVE Yahoo. But we’re not too thrilled with what’s going on these days, and we’re awfully scared of what might happen to some of our favorite destinations (like Flickr, Answers, delicious, Local, etc.) in the future.

      The love is still there, but it’s harder to say great things these days than it’s ever been. Ya know?

      Hi Matt,

      Thanks for your kind words. And I do get the idea of the industry being scared about even more of a monopoly if Yahoo! would not be part of the game. And some of our offerings are essential to my everyday life.

      But then again I don’t really get why people are mostly talking negatively about Yahoo! lately.
      Yahoo! has not only survived more then a decade as an internet only business, but reinvented itself more than just once and is still number two in a marketplace where there should be room for more than just one player.

      But then I might just be too biased…
