I did replace my QNAP NAS with a shiny new Synology 207+ this Christmas. And whilst I was more than pleased with its functionality and the great user interface I was more than dissapointed by the fact that all videos I did try to watch on my MacBook Pro via the VLC player did not run smoothly at all it was snatchy really.

WordPress Canonical URLs - infinite loop issue

After you install WordPress on your server you might be greeted with this message in your browser when you try to open the page.
“Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”
New shiny site links - Google.de only

Just realized that you do get new shiny site-links for my blog now.
Only thing that surprises me is that you do only get them in the German Google web search despite the fact that almost all my traffic is US origin and so are my backlinks. The only reason for it being Germany only that I could guess is that the page is hosted on a German server. Anyway nice little surprise
PULS 4 Google Trends a “Google-TV-Show”

The Austrian TV channel Plus 4-TV launched a new TV show format in May 2008 called PLUS 4 Google Trends.

5 days a week in the show the 5 fastest growing search terms of the day are presented. The channel creates short features with background information around the topics and invites experts to discuss them.
