Just came across this wonderful WordPress plug in. It is called MobilePress and does a perfect job in optimizing your WordPress blog for mobile devices like the iPhone or a BlackBerry.

This is how my latest blog post looks like on the iPhone or the iPod Touch.

And this is the blog homepage.

The plugin does remove all the sidebars and unnecessary stuff and allows easy and quick access to the core content.

I love it if people build things like that – as I was wondering how to best provide my readers with a mobile version of my blog.

thanks for sharing, i guess it only works when your blog’s not hosted by wordpress. Will definitely need to find a hosting solution for mine!

Yes that’s right. And now that you own a iPhone you should really optimize jepedale.com for users like you.

Looks great, thanks for sharing! And it also seems to play nicely w/ WP 2.7, despite the warning about only being tested up to 2.6.3 – or did you encounter any version related issues?

      hi Jan,

no did not have any issues since updating to WP 2.7. Matt Mullenweg did mention that one thing that they are working on for the next WP release is a better management of the compatibility checks of the plugins for WordPress. They would check how many installations do run a given plugin and assume it is working if the number is high enough. Plus they want to cover the issues that occur with certain combination of plugins that just don’t work.
