Just saw this featured on TV. The National Science Foundation has launched a site about the Birth and history of the internet. The coverage called the internet the 2nd greatest invention right after the wheel – I dare to differ as I would see book press on the number two slot.

The site covers the story from the idea to the first e-mail all the way to the web 2.0. Illustrated with quite a few images, graphics, Videos and interviews. The birth of the internet
