You have to love new toys this is my MDA. I got it late last week. When I opened it up I was surprised to see that Google Maps is one of the default applications and trying websearch I found another old friend Yahoo! one Search. hm… I’m sure there are Live products in these areas as well – wonder why one would not promote it…

My interim company car – I get to use it till my ordered one gets built. Since this weekend I understand what BMW consider “Freude am Fahren”

Microsoft stand @ CES 2009 Las Vegas
Another one for me was meeting Mikko V. Ollila, Senior Product Manager in Microsoft’s Online Service Group, working on the Windows Live toolbar for which MSFT has signed distribution deals with Dell ans Sun which were announced lately.

Mikko was covering the Live Search stand demonstrating some of the handy and new features in the Live Search portfolio. I’ll do a seperate post about a handy feature of Live Search that was new – at least to me.

The Windows 7 stand was the center of attention and even so right now the public beta download is “exceeding” the expectations.

Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal — we’re in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We’re sorry for the delay and we’ll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience.

Once its back up you can download the Windows 7 Beta here.There were lots of other highlights like the concept fold-able netbook presented by ASUS.
